September 10, 2023 - I tried a bottle last night with trepidation because no one has tried it in a decade. Surprise surprise! It was good. The wine needed an hour for the funk to come off, just like any Bordeaux, but was fully aged and delicious. My drinking companion thought there was Cab France, and I tend to agree as it had more character than a pure Merlot. It was well balanced, tannins resolved, some acidity to go to dinner. Drink it NOW!

September 28, 2012 - Warm nose with notes of barnyard and macerated cherries. Medium bodied, and once in the mouth I realize the wine is a bit too linear for my liking. The finish is initially pleasing, although a little dry. You can get better for the price and obviously it was a tough vintage. To be drunk over the next 5 years.

June 28, 2011 - Clasically styled, but straightforward, with grilled herb and spice accents to the warm red fruit aromas. Medium bodied on the palate, with impressive inner sweetness, medium- to medium acidity, and simple cherry, anise, earth and olive flavors.

April 24, 2010 - Very dark purple, opaque. Sweet nose with black fruit and tobacco. Sweet black fruit, dry tannin, cedar, long balanced dry black fruit finish. Ready to drink, nice balanced wine with good fruit.
