March 18, 2023 - This bottle was a lot better than one of a few months ago. Vibrant, red-fruited with garrigue and damp soil.

December 27, 2022 - Pop and pour, but the nose and front palate has a raisined quality that made me think a splash decant might have cleaned it up. Sure enough, within 30 minutes this wine became more resonant, with some red fruits showing up to match the dark black fruits. This wine manages to remain balanced but barely, a typical example of modern CDPs.

December 25, 2022 - Last bottle, and it was livelier than previous one. Garnet/ruby with little sign of browning, sweet red fruit, some spice and still a little tannin. More 'grip' than before too, which suggests a few years yet perhaps. More balanced and not 'hot' with alcohol. I wonder what this would be like in 5-10 years time?

January 17, 2022 - Starting to turn? Stewed prunes over blue and black fruit. Some mushroom.

January 1, 2022 - Definitely getting mature.....lighter in colour on first small pour into glass with some sign of browning on rim. When decanted, more colour evident, but a lot less than previous bottles.
There is a certain 'portiness' on the nose, and also on the palate, with some noticeable 'burn' from the high alcohol, though this did moderate over time, and the sweeter fruit notes came through, with some secondary spiciness. Little tannin in evidence.
Certainly at peak now, and not sure how long it will last - some older Rhone can go on for a long time.
