April 15, 2022 - Excellent Pinot from very reliable winemaker. Really can’t go wrong with Freedom Hill.
October 26, 2020 - PnP and drank over 3 hours. Translucent brownish rose. Light body. Tangy, tending toward harsh, bright cherry with spice and anise. Not particularly complex.
October 19, 2017 - Roll Tide!
September 30, 2017 - Lots of strawberry, tomato and thyme, and particularly bright acidity (was tasting in a flight of KW pinots). More like Santa Barbara than OR as I know it--let alone Freedom Hill. Nice.
May 3, 2017 - Excellent wine! Great nose with a candied apple taste with strawberry
and just the right amount acidity.
Excellent finish and didn't want to take the last sip knowing I didn't have any more.
In a great place right now so I would drink up.
October 11, 2016 - i used to be a big Freedom Hill fan, then my preferences moved more north. this Ken Wright really surprised me on the upside. it was delicious as soon as opened ... great fruit and backbone. Very enjoyable.
April 23, 2016 - was just too thin and uninteresting ... typical cooler year Eola Hills that just did not come completely into a more elegant wine.
February 21, 2015 - Dark strawberry color. Strawberry, cranberry, red cherry and cedar nose. Firm with nice acidity. From the list, Blue, Charlotte NC.
December 14, 2014 - I have to disagree with some of the other tasting notes. The bottle had great acidity and some complexity to the palate. It was light in color making us fear that it was very thin. On the contrary it had good body and weight. The structure was nice and firm with a solid background of tannins. If someone is looking for a fruit bomb than this is not the bottle for you. It was shared among three serious wine drinkers and we all enjoyed it.
October 6, 2014 - Disappointing. Flat flavor. Not up to the usual standards of this vinter
