October 3, 2016 - Still holding up. Needs a good hour to decant, then opens up beautifully. One more to go.

June 27, 2015 - Pinkish-crimson, good colour although slightly cloudy. Nose of sweet juicy mixed berries with herbs and nettles and earthiness and then red pepper on the back of the nose; strong but nice - just typical pinot. Earthy red berries - raspberry, redcurrant, cranberries - but with some blackberry too, giving way to eucalyptus and spearmint. Medium bodied texture, but a long, lingering, gentle savoury finish with some red and white pepper. Stood up brilliantly to Iranian food with some spicy potatoes.

December 14, 2014 - True to form, this has good acid and dusty fruit -- and a strong similarity to many years of prior vintages of this same bottling. Our favorite new world at this price.

July 15, 2014 - Very much like my previous note. Savory is the right word for this wine. This is a Pinot that you hold in your hand and savor the passage of flavors from cherry to earth to acid to herbal finish. There is something in that long herbal finish that invites your mind to linger. That alone is worth the purchase.

June 4, 2014 - Drank over 3 days. No notes taken, but got better each day. 89 was the average with a 91 on day 3.

May 17, 2014 - Raspberry and light herbs on the nose. Lingonberries, dark Cherry, leather, licorice and oak with a long after taste. Light but prescent acidity and soft tannins. A Little bitter on the End. Drinks really well on its own but should go well with lighter dishes of red meat, the acidity is there to accompany a lighter creamy sauce I would Think (drank this without food).

March 5, 2014 - Ruby to garnet color; nose of red fruit, earth, forest floor and a touch of herbs. Medium bodied with cherry, strawberry fruit, moderate earth, leather, a touch of licorice evolving towards light spice and herbs on the moderate finish. Enjoyable acidity. Lean. Better as it opened up. Very good for the price.
