July 4, 2013 - Interesting wine. The tempranillo and garnacha dominate, this blend has a very Spanish-character. This was definitely enjoyable, but I wasn't as impressed as I have been with other blends from Brian Carter. It lacked a bit of depth, finish, richness. Improved over 1-2 hours of decanting.

December 31, 2012 - Garnet in color. Spice, fruit, & chocolate on the nose and on the palate. Medium finish. We had stuffed quail with a Marsala sauce and the wine did not overpower the dish. Nice wine. There are so many great reds out there at this price point I would not purchase again.

September 6, 2012 - Notes are as previously stated. Not as enjoyable as either his 2007 or 2009 vintages, but sill drinkable and better than a whole lot of red out there.
