May 19, 2023 - Wine was drinking solid and will hold for many more years. Beautifully balanced with hints of black fruit. Very elegant wine. it looks like 2006 is drinking superb now. Have a couple more bottles of the 2006 and will try again next year maybe in 2 years.

July 25, 2017 - Very dusty-earthy and mineral driven; a bit closed but integrating nicely. Silky and elegant, medium body, fairly long finish; elegance and refinement, low on fruit, high on minerality. At winery with Marty

August 25, 2016 - From a 10 year old Double Magnum -- Interesting nose. Lovely fruit without being new school overpowering. I would have guessed older Bordeaux if I didn't open the bottle myself.

Light body. But amazing depth and oddly substantial body. Great legs.

Lightly tart, but the balance is nice.. Not hot and not overpowering. Black stone fruits.. Plum and black or blue berries.. Decidedly not old squishy prune - but almost fresh pruney plums... But almost rhubarb or cranberry. Tart fresh cherries on the middle notes.

Almost sweet caramel nose later. creme brûlée.. Honey suckle .. Very light and flowery fruit. Licorice way back in the subtle hidden crevasse

Dinner is cooking. I'll let you know how she holds up later tonight and tomorrow (put cork back in what didn't fit in the decanter; we will have some to try tomorrow).

February 1, 2011 - Nose - soft and elegant, good breadth of complexity.
Soft peppery black currant, tight, lime, cherry, smoke, very grippy, hint of orange custard. Drink '18-'33.
