October 11, 2017 - Clear, pale, gold in appearance. The nose is clean with med intensity. The palate is dry, with med(+) acidity, med alcohol, med body, med(+) intensity and a med(+) finish. Notes of apple, lemon zest, wet stone, flint, and touches of peach and petrol.

The wine is very good with points for balance, length, and intensity. Drink or hold for another 8-10 years. Just beginning to show some petrol notes, still tastes young.

November 9, 2016 - Drinking very well from this forward warm vintage.
Still energetic and refreshing if lacking some of the linear cut and acidity of the '08.

January 8, 2015 - Popped and poured with Sushi. I found it to taste better before and after the meal--didn't exactly taste great with the food, strangely.

Wine definitely has a mineral focus and tastes like a fuller mineral water to me--which isn't unpleasant. Jeff "the wine tastes great!/tastes like a sauv blanc!" Acidity still present and refreshing and the finish lingers just overall my impression is mineral water...

I do have to say, though, that I'm downing my allotted two glasses far too quickly.

Update: Second glass on its own shining bright. Fruit coming out, both wishing we had a 2nd bottle.

September 25, 2014 - Hints of slate and sulphur, with stone, mineral and apple notes. The palate follows the bouquet, with bright underlying acidity. A bit too sharp for the arugula, blue cheese and pear salad, this clashed with the vinaigrette.

August 25, 2014 - Initially let breathe for about an hour and consumed over 3-4 hours. Bouquet of ripe pear, touch of apricot, and flinty mineral. Palate was fresh and zippy in a dry, light:medium bodied frame, with notes of green Anjou pear, Golden Delicious apple, apricot, slatey minerality and just a hint of vanilla underneath. Got better with 2-3 more hours of air, yet started to lose its freshness and vibrancy after 4 hours being open. Showed a nice mix of acidity with good cut on the moderate finish.

May 30, 2014 - L95901X16. Pale color with notes of limestone, slate, white peach, apple and stone fruit. The minerality continues on the palate with chalk and limestone, lemon, florals and peach blossom qualities. Acidity is fresh and lively. Very nice. 88+ pts for me, 89-90 for Domino.

November 29, 2013 - This Riesling has a nice golden yellow color with a nose of bright, ripe fruit. It tastes of pear, apple, minerals, and vanilla. The wine is crisp and very dry, with tangy acidity and ripe fruit. The finish was moderate. I think that this bottle is at it's peak now! This was our second bottle at Thanksgiving Dinner after a Vermentino.
