March 24, 2015 - At a dozen years of age, I didn't know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by a moderately complex, nicely balanced, moderately polished wine with dark garnet color and medium body. An expressive nose with flavors of kirsch, floral, with brambly black raspberry fruits, tones of cola and a hint of mocha taken over in the mid palate turning to predominant spicy tangy acidity with smokey red fruit and candied cherry on the firm tannin laced lingering finish.

December 21, 2013 - Slightly past it's peak, but still enjoyable. Very smooth without the typical peak notes you would have experienced 3-5 years earlier

September 1, 2012 - A nose of dark fruit and some spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Cab, with blackberry, cherry, some earth and spice, easy drinking, a good value.

May 13, 2012 - Was worried that this was past its prime but still drinking nicely. Pnp, no decant needed, maybe some open bottle air. Fruit has faded some I am sure but still get dark fruit nice and nice balance with a light touch of tannins still hanging around.

April 14, 2012 - Slight bricking. Tremendously expressive nose of kirsch (big time), violets, raspberry, cola and a little chocolate. Plush on the mid palate with noticeable acidity and lots of red fruits. Finish is long and silky with a candied cherry like note dominating the flavor profile. Tannins are still there and they have integrated fully. There's a real Napa pop to this wine and I would bet this will be drinking well for the next year or so.

April 14, 2012 - I'd drink it now. A little less lively than I'd like but not dead yet. Probably in the bottom of the 8th inning though

May 16, 2011 - Floral Perfume, Raspberries and a sweet cherry nose. Very approachable with mellow tannins. This is ready to drink but could still stand up for a bit longer. Good brambly fruit. The nose on this was the primary driver in making the score pop on this.

May 13, 2008 - not bad for the price but lacks any depth. i tasted some dark chocolate on the finish, which was nice but not enough to want me to buy it again.
