February 2, 2014 - Good but not great. Better with food...best to wait longer. Nice oak, really nice nose, but tannins aggressive.
July 9, 2013 - I had the 2009 on Sunday night and thought it was fabulous. I just realized I had 2008's available and just opened one. I can't believe how good this wine is.
I give it 93 to 94 points.
May 20, 2013 - As good as it gets! Big bold complex - wonderful nose - exceptional on the palate. Great fruits balanced with just right tannins. My only complaint is that Laird is sold out.
July 3, 2011 - This one the 4th bottle of the night but did compare very favorably to the Shafer One Point Five with a slight edge in overall structure and taste to this one. A solid and enjoyable wine.
March 5, 2011 - Rich and thick, the nose has deep, dark black fruit, spice and leather, and a little smoke. The palate is much richer than the nose. The flavors are the same as the nose and the tannins are pretty aggressive.
