March 25, 2022 - Robe oranger. Vin oxydé, sur la noix et abricot. Amertume présente, fait penser à un Xérès sec. Belle complexité et longueur en bouche. Gout intéressant.
December 17, 2017 - Bright yellow gold in the glass. Hay, citrus, and baked quince on the nose and palate (with some oaky vanilla). Firm acidity from entry to finish. The dichotomy between the bright citrusy acidity and the silky round oak really makes a conundrum (not the California kind) in my mouth that adds to its appeal. Is this your new lobster wine?
February 25, 2017 - Old and dead.
September 11, 2016 - Not at all as good as it was last time I drank this three years ago. Based on this bottle I think they are on their way down and I will drink my last bottle soon.
December 12, 2015 - Good wine. Seemed to lack a little in the fruit department, although excellent overall structure and balance otherwise. Lively acidity and mineral notes highlight the finish. 89+ pts. PJP 2016.
August 30, 2015 - Deep golden colour.
Clean, quite developed nose with medium+ intense aromas of oak, wood, ML-butter, oxidized fruit, ripe, almost bruised apples, peaches, and ripe oranges.
Very dry on the palate with a medium+ acidity, medium+ alcohol, quite full bodied with a good medium+ intensity and a long, just slightly bitter finish.
This is very good quality, and even though there is plenty of oak there is a good uplifting acidity giving it a very fresh touch. Tasted blind, and I landed in White Rioja.
March 15, 2015 - Söta bananer, mogna citroner, tropiska frukter, blommor, sten, och rostade nötter. Helt torr, lagom utvecklad, med rejäla mängder frukt, en hälsosam dos ek, bra längd, och knivskarpa syror.
December 20, 2014 - Rich and opulent, yet vivid and quite refreshing. The 2008 Montus delivers an array of white flowers, litchi, tangerine and subtle elderflower. The fruit is quite amazing and it is a perfect companion to the palate which is well balanced and reveals all its components in close to perfect harmony. Acidity is present, but balanced to the massive fruit. There is enough structure to make this effort age well for another few years, but it drinks very well tonight too and I see no reason to hold off. A pleasant surprise and well worth trying if given the chance.
August 5, 2014 - Une bouteille qui me semble dans une phase légèrement ingrate, ou du moins un peu moins bonne que la dernière Le fruit est en retrait, un peu camouflé par le bois et l'alcool qui chauffe un peu en final. Demeure un très bon RQP.
December 21, 2013 - Medium+ to deep gold colour. Pronounced intensity in the nose. Aroma characteristics of honey, ripe stone fruit and some banana. Full bodied wine. Great mouth feeling. Acidity is fine to me.
