July 4, 2021 - Reminds me a bit of German Pinot. Which is not a compliment. Possibly I am just past Crozes overall, even though I like North Rhône reds at higher levels.

Anyway, for the price, this is a really good wine with good fruit, well integrated tannin and medium acidity. No hurry drinking this, but it probably won’t get much better.

January 21, 2020 - By god this is youthful. Very primary dark fruits on the nose with charcoal and tapanade in the background. Palate is less brooding, but still shows lots of dense perfumed black fruits with smoke and pepper. Quite a deposit on it, it needs a long decant. This has the structure to keep going, though I'm not sure there's massive improvement ahead. Very good, but a wine that throws a few surprises.

December 15, 2018 - Intense dark color almost opaque. Spicey fruit, barrels, black olive, almost scorched earth and a dose of vanilla. Very good acidity, fine almost resolved silky tannin. Broad shouldered on the nose but more moderate weight than expected once in the mouth. Long cool finish. Wish I had more of this one.
93-94p. Excellent QPR and in a very nice spot now.
