December 22, 2023 - Few signs of age. Lush, lively berry fruit with savory olive notes. Any tannins have melted into a harmonious whole. In a good place and not sure it will get a lot better.

March 4, 2023 - This is showing savory maturity but seemingly still has a lot left in the tank. Smokey red fruits, peppery meat and herbs. The structure is accessible but still grippy.

November 30, 2021 - Rich syrah, but with a lovely cool climate Rhone-esque nose of garrigue, briary fruit and smoked meat.

October 12, 2021 - I always find Bedrock reds to be a touch too big. Maybe a little jammy, maybe the fruit is too sweet. So I've been saving the few I own to see how they age. And they haven't changed in that profile. The wine is fairly relaxed, with fine tannins and red to black fruit. The profile of the fruit is sweet and big.

April 18, 2020 - Wow. This is singing. Some of the secondary flavors and aromas are starting to step forward, but there’s barely a hint of brick on the edge and the primary fruit, roasted meats and spice you'd expect in a good CA Syrah are still there, in a very good way. This has at least 5 years, and I’d be comfortable waiting 10 if you like things on that side of the horizon and its been stored properly. This was one of my first mailing list orders from the winery way back when so it’s a fun memory and, thankfully, I still have one left! Now the question is whether I can resist the temptation with the more recent vintages ...

[PS, I generally don't give point scores or detailed tasting notes – even if I had a sophisticated palate, my strawberry is your raspberry and someone else's blackberry. For me wine is the story or experience, and whether I'd like live it again.]
