June 14, 2015 - 2015 CELLAR REDUCTION. Always good but on the downhill now. These Kirkland Zins were actually made by Renwood. Money trouble forced Renwood to sell to whomever had cash and the result was a $25 wine selling for $11.99 at Costco.
Spice and tart plum. It lacks the zing of the Granpere vineyard but has more body than the lesser Amador offerings. It has mellowed since I first started drinking it in 2011 but still a good wine -

August 2, 2011 - Light in color and body. A tad thin. Not much in the aroma dept., sage and other herbs with raspberries and a significant dose of oak. Old school, old vine Zin but lacking.
