August 18, 2016 - “The Faces of Chardonnay”, Flight 7, Wine 1: Screw cap. The wine offered apple, nuts and plenty of oak on the nose and palate, with medium-level acidity and good length. A medium- to full-bodied, very oaky interpretation of Chardonnay, with very little fruit. Lacks character.

October 12, 2014 - Had it for Thanksgiving: traditional turkey dinner with vegetarian stuffing, etc. - not over-seasoned so the Bonterra was a nice pairing.

May 24, 2012 - Pale straw colour. Large amounts of butter, vanilla and ripe apple on nose. Taste was similar with pastry richness and a bit of spice and honey. Not much acid. Okay wine - enjoyable but slightly one dimensional and a bit old school.

December 7, 2011 - Microwave popcorn of the very buttery kind is the first thing that comes to mind. In my opinion a bit to much but probably good with some food. The after taste is packed with vanilla but the wine still has quite a good acidity.

March 27, 2011 - Just like all of the Bonterra range this is a lovely, good value, well made wine. The nose is oaked with a little lemon and herbs. The palate is Burgundian and has a creamy melon flavour to complement the citrus. Lovely wine.

March 2, 2011 - Very surprised, it has depth, nuance and interesting tones. It also finishes with a fresh acidity. I'm not completely sure that it was the 09... Very good value.

February 28, 2011 - Light golden color. Nose: fresh Asian pear, cantaloupe, wet rock, nutmeg, and a touch of vanilla creme brulee. Medium body on the palate: Asian pear and ripe orange fruit with wet rock, nutmeg, and vanilla creme brulee. Focused acidity. Lingering wet rock and nutmeg on the moderate finish. Straightforward, balanced Cali Chardonnay. Very good value.
