October 1, 2023 - This one has certainly pulled itself together since my previous bottle. Deep tawny red, almost opaque. Not much brick on the rim. Nose showed mid-red fruit with wood and earthy notes well integrated. Palate was very refined, mouth coating and leading to a long finish. Very enjoyable. I would drink up now.

May 21, 2022 - This is just entering its drinking window. Quite an elegant wine, with resolving tanins. Wonderful fruit profile, with good acid, from a good vintage.Tasted from Zalto and Reidel Burgundy..just lovely, and what I want from a Brunello..served with Iberico ham, Spanish Tortilla, and an herb salad.

April 17, 2022 - Decanted an hour and drank with a grass fed filet. None of the raisin from the previous bottle. Slightly brownish on initial decant but a solid ruby core. Modern wine: Fruits is rich and bright there is a vanilla/cedar note. Alao a slight earthiness. Medium+ tannins and medium acidity. The finish isn't particularly long but it's a nice wine. My guess is that it's not over the hill but is going to need several years to get to it's next level.

December 9, 2021 - I enjoy aged Brunello, so this worked for me. It was nice, but this bottle is also at the end of its drinking window and starting to flatten out The cork was perfect and firmly in tact with no leakage. Nice color with signs of oxidation, slight browning, but not really bricked. That told me the wine has been well stored and has aged in a proper way. So far so good. Muted nose even after coming up to room temp; dried flowers and earth. On the tongue it is exactly what you would expect from a 15 year old Brunello. All secondary. Cherry, must, cellar, cinder block, tobacco, some minerality. Mildly tannic and pleasant. Expected medium finish with lovely lingering tobacco. It was well integrated and composed, and I would suggest anyone holding the 1400 bottles still cellared to drink now. Based on this bottle, this is in its sunset and will decline from here.

November 14, 2021 - Better than expected after somewhat disappointing last few bottles a few years ago. Not sure how much this will get better so I would drink up now.

October 9, 2021 - Attractive color, pleasant aromas, some good minerality, but closed and tannic. This bottle was shut down.

September 16, 2021 - Luis Italian Wine Tasting at Broder's: 30 minute decant - This was a very nice Brunello, and in my wheelhouse. I did think this wine would be better than it was, so not sure if it was a slightly off bottle or if my expectations were just too high. I thought 2006 Brunello would be singing, but this was more like humming! Pleasant enough, and I did enjoy it, but a little disappointed it didn't show better! Nose showed dried flowers, some red fruit and some earthiness. Palate was red and dark cherry, tobacco and bramble, with a hint of spice. plenty of acids, but Shortt on tannins. Nice dose of fruit though! 91-92 for this bottle on this night.
