February 29, 2020 - Smelled and tasted like a port/dessert wine. Good, but not great.
July 29, 2018 - Exceeded expectations, given its age. Nice glycerine fruit, with a good medium bodied finish. Berry, light tobacco and cola notes. Not going to get better, but not fading fast either.
March 20, 2016 - A somewhat discontinuous, dessert-like old Pinot with a rich bouquet. Brown sugar and clove, faded but omnipresent dark berries, and enjoyable age ... but without the balance to keep pushing through the years. Drink now.

November 24, 2015 - Light crimson in color. 14.4% ABV. Big nose of red fruits, rose petals and cloves. Light to medium body with surprisingly strong acidity. Black cherry, baking spices, mushroom and cherry cordial on the palate. Super finish that belies the 12 years of bottle age. Delicious Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Drink over the next 1-2 years.
September 21, 2015 - happy birthday to me. This wine still has some good bones but the mustiness/funk is starting to take over. Drink now or better yet yesterday.
February 23, 2013 - Dinner with friends (Fremont, CA): Red fruits, slightly funky; smooth, red fruits. Very nice. Interesting character. 89
December 15, 2012 - Very nice, fairly large style. Gave it one hour of air. Good stuff, drink now or soon.
August 4, 2012 - Wonderful wine. Much better an hour after opening. Well structured, slightly subdued flavours. Like the beauty of a slightly older but still stunning woman.
January 21, 2012 - Very structured and concentrated Pinot. Drinks like it could age another decade. We drank this at an informal tasting and enjoyed it immensely, but it would have been better with a well charred steak.
