August 18, 2018 - Tannins have softened resulting in a deep, velvety to the palette great subtle wine with tonight’s prime steak and risotto Milanese. Might have been presenting with more intense flavors 4 years ago but enjoyed it tonight.
The wine looks brick colored. The legs are slow. There is moderate sediment in the bottle.

May 5, 2014 - This one doesn't excite me too much. Nice wine but not much depth and range of flavor is not broad.

May 27, 2013 - Not sure what to rate it. Like a lot of the well-aged, new-world, fruit-driven wines I've opened recently ... it just seems a bit one-dimensional. I'm not getting any of the secondary notes I love in a well-aged classic. However, it hasn't fallen apart either. Modest brambleberries up front - but definitely brambleberries (or something like that) as opposed to stewed fruits or raisins or something that would indicate it's fading fast. Also showing a smooth mid-palate, with just a bit of drying tannins on the finish. Still well integrated and balanced, and certainly pleasant. - I was just hoping for a bit more complexity by now.

February 26, 2013 - good but definitely beyond its years. wine showed very little in the way of structure which makes me think this has just receded too far at this point.
