September 20, 2021 - Very nice after decanting. A great prelude to dinner and a bolder selection. Still holding on but should finish soon.

September 3, 2021 - I have the same comments as with a bottle consumed late in 2020. This wine has been great for me from the first bottle. In a great drink window. I decanted this bottle for 2 hours. Also, this one has delivered an experience above the price point. I just noticed that the auction market is beginning to agree with me.

July 2, 2021 - It took a bit to open up, so a short decant recommended.

The nose shows lots of funk, primarily damp earth, mushroom, petrol, smoke, along with black olive.

In the mouth, it is medium bodied and features ripe black fruit, green olive, tarragon, and lots of earth. There is a sense of some over-ripeness that may be result of the wine losing its steam and heading toward the back end of the drinking window. Tannins are still there, but polished, leaving just a slight tinge in the mouth on the relatively silky finish.

I would drink soon and in the next few years, 2021-2024.

May 2, 2021 - This has classic aged CdP notes of mesquite smoke, dried strawberry, worn leather, garrigue, Asian five spice, and some earthy Brett. This is seeming a little advanced however, as the palate feels a little tired and stretched out. Tannins are resolved. The finish is marked by herbal sage, bay leaf and dead flowers. Just feels a bit shrill to me. A good drop but probably a bit more well rounded 3-4 years ago. I’m thinking my last one with red sauce and braciole.

December 1, 2020 - Consistent with past bottles. I have liked this wine from the start and seem to be having a better experience with it than is the case with some cellartracker.com reviewers. Continues to drink very well.
