April 20, 2024 - Still very enjoyable. Some tannins, but quite soft. Bayleaf, sage, leather.
April 1, 2024 - Decanted 2 hrs. Ruby red, edge paling. Large bq w dark berries, lavender, tobacco, plums. Very fine grained tannins, high acidity, rich Grenache fruit. Medium aftertaste w some alcohol, elegant. Probably at its peak now. It reminded us a bit of a Priorat (old Grenache, high alcohol).
November 7, 2023 - last bottle, a bit past its prime.
October 9, 2023 - Best bottle yet. Too bad it's the last one. Classic CNdP.
August 11, 2023 - Classic CNdP. Still drinking very well. One bottle left. I will not hesitate to drink it because I have had two or three CNdPs over the last ten years go south very quickly.
July 16, 2023 - Has matured to an excellent state -- this was the third of the three that we purchased ten years ago -- all three were excellent, but this is in a very nice drinking window right now.
June 4, 2023 - A very giving and feminine expression that had lots of ripe strawberries, elegance, and softness. Also enjoyable by itself, and luckily the bottle was in great shape. Tasted alongside a Barolo 2006, though I preferred the Barolo more. Drink now.
April 20, 2023 - The last couple of bottles of this one were slightly off from earlier experiences. This one was back to what it was before. Very good. Drinking well with no sign of tiring. The bottle was open (no decant) for about an hour and a half in a restaurant. I have noticed that some of my earlier very good experiences came with a two hour, or so, decant. So, it is clear that this wine needs a little air in order for it to excel.
April 8, 2023 - Good, but a little off from earlier bottles. I am going to drink my remaining bottles because I have had some other CNdPs roll over almost overnight.
January 8, 2023 - good until '24 at least
