March 3, 2013 - Red currant and pretty strong toasted oak (licorice/leather) on the nose. On the palate, the greenness is off-putting. Leafy peppermint and bitterness overshadows the vague fruit. Astringent. The structure is nice and smooth though, tannins resolved. Some complexity from the oak evolved, but overall this tastes too much like very cheap bordeaux from a bad year.

January 13, 2013 - Served with Tilapia Fish Tacos.
Sight - Burgundy Red with medium legs
Nose - Very fruity, full of Raspberry and Black currant aroma; hints of clove, coffee bean and green peppercorn.
Palate - Full bodied; woody beginning and leathery finish.
Overall - Beautiful wine, could be aged a little longer. First tastings straight out of the bottle was lacking--characteristics appeared after decanting for 15 minutes, what a difference! -
