October 20, 2014 - Plum and licorice predominate. I feel like it is at its peak right now. First 2009 I have tried. Excellent wine for the price.
The wine looks purple colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like black currant (cassis), fig, plum, mushroom and vanilla. It tastes like black currant (cassis), prune, plum, coffee, vanilla and clove. The body is medium/full. The wine has fleshy texture. The wine finishes short. The wine has low acidity.

October 17, 2014 - Floral(violets/lilac) earth and mushroom, dark berries turn to spice, licorice and dark fruit continues. A fresh, medium body/tannin wine. Perfect time to uncork.

May 26, 2014 - Great French Nose, very flavorful.

November 4, 2013 - Kind of a weird one. Decent enough scents of grassy cassis, licorice, plums and vanillin. Starts quite closed off and acidic, goes thin mid-palate, and ends with fine-grained oak overwhelming the fruit. Air and time seems to give it more acidity and imbalance. Still for the price point it is good value and bodes well for the '09's, this being the first we've opened.

May 28, 2013 - Good value wine. Opened up much more the second day - I did not have time to properly decant it for 2 hours the day before. Dark berries with good structure.
