May 17, 2022 - Monthly Tuesday group "The Dead Sparrow": Portugal (By BS): Beautiful bouquet with sweet spices, sweet licorice and some tea. On the palate soft and delicious, good acidity, some herbs, dark berries and chocolate. Mild acidity and completely melted tannin. Very beautiful and fully mature now. Delicious!

December 26, 2020 - Glorious length and all the new oak is fully integrated and silky smooth.

December 3, 2019 - Decanted two hours. Black currant, violets and earth on the nose. Delicious black currant, plums and tobacco on the palate with noticeable but integrated new oak treatment. This comes across as very competently made in a modern style but lacking distinctiveness and complexity.

September 29, 2016 - Big, rich dark fruits, lively acidity and big ripe tannins. This is the full package. After a bit of air in the glass the fruit adds chocolate and coffee notes. A nice bottle, and finally (to my taste) developing an interesting flavour profile.
