June 25, 2022 - Drinking well at this stage in its lifecycle. Balanced, clean, with just a touch of age. Earthy nose with bran my fruit on the palate. Notes of plum, cured meats, and dried herbs.

January 5, 2022 - Got a Magnum from Larry several years ago. He even personalized it. Maybe the only bottling that I know of from Tercero with a real cork in it. I was praying that the wine would not be corked. ;-) It wasn't.
The last time I had this wine (regular 750), it was a teeth-staining, dark wine, almost thinking there was some Petite in it, but it's 50-50 Syrah and Grenache (I think). Not as dark and deep as the last time, or at least not to my recollection. Still spicy, herbal elements. Nice acidity and medium tannins. Still retained dark fruits, blackberry, plum, black cherry, also some raspberry. Some smoke, a little licorice and chocolate, meaty. Had this for New Years with Beef Wellington, good pairing. Popped-and-poured. Delicious. Glad I saved this bottle, and was a perfect time to share it with friends.1 person found this helpful Comment -

December 25, 2016 - My goodness, this hasn't budged in 4 1/2 years. It's as fresh and lively as the day it was bottled. I think it's the grenache that provides the stuffing here. This will last another 20 years, no problem. Dark fruit, blackberry, garrigue, light campfire. Really nice.

December 23, 2015 - Red cherry, raspberry and chocolate aromas. The palate shows black cherry, plum, spice and licorice. Integrated medium acidity and light tannins. Drinking well now, this shows a nice mix of both the syrah and grenache.

July 19, 2014 - With all the high scores I've seen I was expecting a lot more. On the first night this wine was tight, tart, and a bit tannic. It showed a dark purple color and some dark fruit. I thought it would open up but the second night was more of the same. Such a shame, as I love Larner Vineyard fruit. I've tasted a few vintages of Tercero's Cuvee Christy and have been impressed with those, so I'm not sure what's going on here.
