August 11, 2012 - A Little R&R--2008 Raveneau and Roulot (Arlequin Wines, San Francisco): Light color. Light weight. High acid, little fruit. Good start but then the char and the acidity take over. Lacks flesh and any sense of balance.

April 17, 2011 - Really nice nose - I'm loving the complexity and depth on it... dark cherry, smoke, cedar box, even a little petrol. However, my excitement for this wine upon smelling it dropped a bit when I drank it. Overall light bodies and lacking in the "oomph" that the nose is trying to promise you. The balance seems a little disjointed and comes off overly acidic overall. Absolutely love the nose but the drink leaves something to be desired. Maybe it just needs the perfect cream sauce to pair with that overextended acidity!
