February 10, 2020 - Good bottle. Beautiful gold in the glass, honey apricots and lanolin, medium weight, oily and viscous. Lacks some verve but intriguing enough to keep it interesting. Medium finish. Awesome match with cassoulet.

April 20, 2019 - Deep, rich honey with a gold sheen. Really aggressive acids that have kept it alive this long. Pretty oxidized with typical notes like coconut husk

March 29, 2019 - Deeper golden yellow; oxidative nose, lots of honey, apple juice, not the most complex wine, others thought this was dead but the palate showed it still had a good verve of acid, still lots of the fruit I don’t prefer but the honeyed notes with rich apple and fresher finish make it drinkable.

June 6, 2018 - Wine Wednesday (Kevin and Vicki's house): How is it that this wine was in substantially better shape than 3 2001's I went through a couple years ago? Among the few Hermitage blancs I've ever had, this was probably the most enjoyable. It did start out in a weird place, with rubber band and a queer palate. It settled down into a rich, round, caramel, orange rind and slightly oxidized wine.

June 6, 2018 - The Return of the Wednesday Wine Lunch (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Dark gold color. Golden fruits, baked apple, spice pear cobbler, brown sugar, honeyed, a little flabby at this point, on the downward side, but still provides plenty of aged character.
