April 1, 2024 - Drink now to 2026.
March 30, 2024 - Stunning matte gold color, modest almond aromas, little tension and no weight; but, if you focus, a nuanced elegant finish awaits.
February 17, 2024 - Mixed Bag at Irene's (Irene's House, St. Paul): Pale straw color. Drank a glass over 20 minutes. Clean and fresh, a mix of pear and apple, creamy mousse, light mineral notes, delicate and suave in the house style.
February 14, 2024 - Nose toasty, red fruit, creamy. Some apple too and lemon. Complex. Palate has great acid and mineral structure. Lees richness. Very long finish.
February 12, 2024 - 50/50 Chardonnay/Pinot Noir. Everything you want in the nose with toast, puff pastry and citrus. The palate is elegant, fresh. Some creamy foam and lingering savory notes.

February 10, 2024 - Delicious. Initially very 'lemon' and almost tart but softened and evolved to a broader warmer taste in 30 mins. Plenty of life in it yet.
January 12, 2024 - Lovely. No formal notes. No rush to finish these
January 7, 2024 - I would suggest this has started to enter the next phase, the slow ebbing of the primary fruit characteristic. But still a lot of time before that happens with any fortitude. The fizz has started to lose its attack and is beginning to mellow. The nose is starting to develop a butteriness that wasn’t there a year and a half ago when last I opened.
I won’t open my next bottle for five, maybe ten years. I want to see what this ‘08 will do. I feel that it has only just begun to hint at its potential.
A great bottle of wine from a majestic vintage.
December 31, 2023 - In a great point in evolution. Drink now to 2026.
