June 16, 2019 - Fuller bodied, concentrated, layered, complex, muscular, and quite long. The aromatic and flavor profile shows ripe and juicy, yet slightly feral and rustic, with notions of kirsch, plum, cherry lozenge, garrigue, earth, herbs, and black pepper. In contrast to some of the other notes, I actually thought this showed noticeably less funk/barnyard compared with previous vintages. First of three bottles.

June 16, 2019 - I tend to think of CNPs as being dense, rather obdurate wines, but this one is not. Dark plum to black colour; beautiful spicy lift on the nose of cassis, black cherry and chocolate, and something earthy; flavours are the same, with perhaps just a little tobacco. The wine is not particularly deep, meaning solid; on the contrary, it is rather light, but this lightness has great texture and a really lasting finish. A very refined and sophisticated wine, which is subtle and speaks of impressive winemaking skills.

June 2, 2019 - Similar to the tasting notes of others....

PnP wand consumed over several hours. Dark purple with limited clarity. On the nose you are met with wet barnyard and then you get to the rich red and black fruits.

On the palate its similar, the wet barnyard is very noticeable but fades after some time to reveal the dark fruit, spice and hints of pepper.

I can see why the barnyard is a block for some but I almost enjoyed it :) I will let me other bottle set for a few years and see if this intensifies or mellows out.

DAY 3. The bottle was vacuumed and sat at RT for a couple of days. On this day the wine was amazing! Still some hints of barnyard but very pleasant. The dark fruits were more subdued but the spices and black pepper were much more prominent. Vary balanced with a very generous finish.

May 19, 2019 - Softer than expected and less fresh. Mild barnyard and better aromas. Bottle variation unfortunately kills the experience. This seems to have fanstastic fruit and provincial spice character masked by barnyard flavors. A good bottle but should be better.

April 1, 2019 - Dark ruby, full bodied. Nose is a little funky, moist barnyard soil, not particularly pleasant. Rich flavors of dark berry fruit, some tannins, but smooth, well balanced. Long finish, tobacco, leathery.
