March 25, 2019 - Dark fruit (cherry, blueberry), nice fruit, nice spice, cedar, good acidity, graphite, lingering finish. Some tannins. Really enjoyable.

April 21, 2012 - nice balance of tannins and fruit at this point, as one hopes. lovely nose. A good wine certainly but not cheap for a 2nd even when I bought it 10 years ago. There's better value out there.

April 13, 2012 - I'm rather sensitive to TCA and this bottle was ever so tainted, but not beyond the point of drinking with food. I've drunk the '98 Angelus several times, and there is a resemblance to the grand vin with this bottle, but nowhere nearly as opulent as the '98 Angelus. This is my only bottle, but I wouldn't hold any more if I had any for 1) fear of being corked and 2) this wine is giving all that it ever will at this point in time.

July 29, 2011 - Wine window was too short in the community. Still has fruit, a bit thin but still a nice bottle of wine. Maybe LUCVB's bottle was corked.

April 24, 2010 - Splash decanted for about 30 minutes prior to dinner. Understated dusty earth, soft black currant and blackberry, leather and a touch of mint/pine. So much going on, but everything seemed at about 1/2 the "volume" I expected. Very little sign of aging both in the color and the flavor. The fruit is mature and dusty, but there is a youth to the to it that makes me think this has quite a few good years ahead of it. I don't think it will get better, but you could certainly sit on these for a few more years and be just as happy with it.

April 10, 2010 - Très bon, même après près de 2 heures dans le décanteur, pouvait respirer encore plus.

December 27, 2007 - Very nice bottle. Mature and drinking well with earth, dusty cocoa, red fruits, some tobacco and leather. Medium bodied, sweet fruit on the palate. Tannins integrated, well balanced acidity. Finishes quite well. No tremendous complexity but thoroughly enjoyable and a great bottle for the $25 I paid.

December 21, 2007 - Dark garnet with bricking on the rim. Mature tertiary aromas with clay, brick and some red fruit, but mostly earthy smells. Medium to lighter body, and tannins almost resolved. Lowish acids. This seemed much more advanced than a bottle tried about 2 years ago. Based on this bottle I would say drink these up soon.
