November 15, 2023 - Really beautiful after an hour. Bright red fruit balanced by earthiness.

August 10, 2023 - At a nice place now but has more time. Red fruit, and a long finish. Beautiful minerality. Cork pulled and at about an hour later the wine drank beautifully. Continued to open over the next hour and then finally faded at about 2 1/2 hours. Let this breathe and you will be rewarded.

February 4, 2021 - Rugiens Rex? King of Pommard (Zoom!): De Montille has two blocks in the middle of the lower part of the vineyard - quite a significant holding in aggregate. Around 2/3 stems used in a richer vintage such as this.

Loads of sweet, fresh red fruit here, verging on boiled sweets. Gorgeous and aromatic and moreish. A certain creaminess counterbalanced by plenty of acidity and structure. Will improve, but plenty approachable already. Sustained finish. Group WOTN

tres beau nez de fruits sauvages, florales et épices, ca sent la vendange entiere. Bouche suave, tannins bien murs, sur les fruits rouges épicés. Tres bien

August 19, 2018 - Very good, both ripe and fresh even though that's contradictory.
