July 12, 2019 - Really nice. Blackberry jam on toast but muted fruit. Not sweet at all. Very secondary flavours. A little smoke. 12.5 % alc. so light. Lovely balance. Tannins mild now. Very old school Bordeaux. Lovely. Perfect with lamb. It was a cold and wet yr I think so good acid too. Definitely still in the drinking window.

November 29, 2018 - Bright, energetic and with a lot of lift to the red fruits on the medium-bodied palate, the nose is more interesting, with all its tobacco, wet earth, smoke and leafy, earthy nuances. There is not much need to hold this for further aging. This is probably at peak today. Fans of cool weather vintages will probably like this even more.

March 10, 2018 - Fragrant espresso, stewed plum and blackberries, undergrowth and dry herbs. Elegant and rich, black fruits and minerals in the mid-palate. Finish is silky and lingering. At its peak now, pop and drink, don’t really need to decant.

November 6, 2015 - From a bottle personally purchased upon release and cellared in pristine fashion, this deep red/garnet wine was double decanted, allowing approximately four hours in decanter prior to funneling back into the cleaned bottle. The wine was then presented to our Friday tasting group in double-blind fashion. My taste was unblinded. The nose significantly benefits from extended aeration, ultimately flaunting a bouquet of red currants, leather, pipe tobacco and loamy earth. Medium-bodied, seamlessly alcoholic (12.5%) and with medium acidity, it delivers flavors mirroring the nose. The tannins have largely melted at this point, giving the wine a very round, supple texture. The middle palate stays solid and the smooth finish is medium in length. Remaining fully mature, I previously underestimated how long this wine would stay on plateau. Drink now-2020.
