June 25, 2018 - White fruit (apple, slight citrus?), oxidized, reminiscent of a Jura savagnin or sherry, salinity, slight almond. Good acidity. Lingering finish. Really enjoyable.

January 21, 2018 - Gleaming apricot, touched with tangerine. Cedar, yeast, linseed oil, then orange peel on the nose, reminiscent of a good Ch Simone Palette Blanc. Lime and bruised green apple on first sip, followed by slightly tannic almond skin and whole wheat. Finishes with a lingering sting of lime zest that stays and stays. Good complex stuff with verve and individuality. Wow!

November 22, 2014 - Retailer tasting (Le Bouchon): I will not score this wine because it is for a special target audience which is a fan of this type of wine, and although I can appreciate it, I am not the biggest fan. The wine is in fact a Sherry without alcohol added. So it has the nutty and “Flor” flavors of a dry Sherry. The wine is nicely clean and typical.

October 3, 2014 - Tasted blind alongside some Albarino's so this wine stood out!
Nose is nutty with honeycomb too but also a slightly synthetic smell of old emulsion paint pot (thanks to Paul Cowley for capturing that one). On the palate is certainly bone dry, apple fruit with a salty tang which makes you crave food with it. It is certainly in a slightly oxidative style giving strong hints to its provenance from Jerez de la Frontera and showing lots of personality. To sum up if you're a Fino fan then you'll find it quite a light style, if you're not a fan then this might be your gentle introduction to the joys of Fino.

June 6, 2013 - Roberson Spanish Walkabout Tasting (Roberson, High Street Kensington, London): Aromas of lemon and white nuts. Very dry and savoury with real intensity. Lots of depth. Real bite to the bone dry finish. So distinctive. 16.5/20.
