October 8, 2022 - Where to begin with this TN? As usual, I have a glass here now and it has been open for 30 minutes. The nose is floral with some very light maple component in the background that becomes faint Band-Aid and then earthiness. On the palate, I get dark black cherry, blackberry, and some raspberry with earthiness recapitulated and some tartness on the way down. From my description, you would think this is a darn good wine, but it's just 'okay'. There is not a lot of depth and dimension to this wine and I was prepared to be blown away by one of Heidi's creations from a good year. I agree that the QPR isn't worth it. But it was a good wine, but not stellar. If you have it, drink it now!

February 25, 2017 - Disappointing for the price. Very one dimensional. Decent structure and balance between fruit and acidity. Tannins are present and smooth. But it lacks complexity. Lots of berry flavors but little in the way of wood, earth, stone, etc to give it depth.

June 28, 2015 - QPR is way out of whack on this one. Would be more amusing if it weren't so expensive.

September 19, 2014 - This was a special occasion bottle of wine. I know it's still young, but I expected more for this price point. Dang Rimmermon sucked me in again with (d)illusions of grandure. I suppose if I give it a few years the next bottle might live up to the billing.
Right now though, it's a "Meh".

April 17, 2014 - First bottle was corked. 2nd was better.

Well made, lush and velvety. Low tannins. Nice purple/red fruit.

Enjoyed tasting, but your $300 is best spent elsewhere. Pass.

February 3, 2014 - From a blend of 93% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc, the wine offers dusty, fresh, dark cherries, plum, chocolate and earthy tones. Soft, silky and polished, the round finish serves up sweet dark berries, espresso bean and cocoa.

October 23, 2013 - Dense and concentrated with high quality oak. Loads of plum with hints of crushed rocks, mushroom and spring flowers. Very high quality but not exactly my style. Palate is plush, and a bit lacking in acid but finishes long and plummy.
