December 5, 2019 - This was a little tight upon opening so I decanted for an hour prior to dinner which really helped. Semi opaque ruby red color. Rose petal and berries on the nose. Dark cherry - raspberry fruit, mineral, earth and licorice on the palate. Stand alone I notice some light tannins still in need of resolution but disappear with food. I could see this improving with 3+ more years time btl. One left. Alc 14% Quite a bargain at the $23 I paid for these back in 2011. I don't completely understand the producers Serra designation for this cuvee but I think, its likely a village Barbaresco.

November 8, 2019 - Ruby red with slight browning. Lovely aromas of tobacco, leather, dark florals and dark red fruits. A perfectly medium bodied palate follows through with perfumed and spicy crushed dark red fruits, medium acidity, no tannins and a long tobacco, leather and dark violets tinged finish. Wow- what a QPR.

    September 6, 2019 - 9th of 10 bottles. What a value at $29 USD.
Leather, red cherry pit, iron, wet soil, all the requisite components.
Finely grained tannins, beautifully refreshing acidity, and the only detractor from this is a bit of heat on the finish (if I'm being really picky).
This is a beautiful bottle of Barbaresco made in a semi-traditional manner. Lovely, drink now through 2022.

August 31, 2019 - Coravined at home on Pizza night. Nice but reticent nose of fired cherries, some dark fruits and some earthy notes. Palate was beautiful, with dark fruit and some nice acidity that held up well to homemade Italian fare. 2weeks later opened and finished with grilled veggies. Still in a great place, albeit a bit softer. Great apr! Appreciated more than the last bottle 1.5 yrs ago.
