December 6, 2019 - Deep ruby red in appearance. Dark baking spices on the attack of the nose followed by a hint of graphite, lavender and black berries. Heavy tannins (8/10) and full bodied. Quite a bit of oak on the palate with layers of vanilla, dark berries, black cherries, cocoa, toast, and a bit of earthiness. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2026.

September 14, 2018 - Exceptional deep dark fruits with boysenberry predominanting. Softened tannic structure provides deep mineral based platform. Delicious in all ways.

January 27, 2018 - Decanted and drank over several hours. I think the 2008 is past it’s prime. Fruit was mild along with the finish. Just doesn’t have the same strength it had years ago when I tasted at the winery.
