April 1, 2016 - My last bottle and I'll be damned this is the best one. Drinking extremely well now with the syrah in particular coming through. Complex aromas of dark fruit, earth, smoke, a bit of meat & bbq. The palate matches, the fruit is a bit light up front then earth & garrigue strong on the midpalate then a bbq finish. Integrated medium tannins/acid. Glad this is showing so well, I only wish it had done so in its youth as well.
February 19, 2015 - no worries about this one. plenty of life left
November 26, 2014 - wow 1 hour decant
February 14, 2014 - Real value here. Real solid dark fruits and vibrant acidity to keep it in line. A massively structured wine, but drinking well now. The tart finish really lingers.
September 28, 2013 - I will readily admit though I haven't been a huge fan in the past this is getting better with age. Aromas of black cherry & black currant with flavors of black cherry, earth, hints of additional back fruits, herbs & a touch of oak/cedar on the finish. Light acid/tannins & a medium finish. Drink now-2015.
August 26, 2013 - been quite a while since the last one. The age has improved it. Good on the PNP. Maybe it won't hold up?
February 25, 2013 - Smooth and almost a little sweet. The oak defined it more than the fruit and it was lacking in acidic structure.

August 23, 2012 - Aromas of a red/dark fruit blend along with some earth and a hint of coffee. The nose opened up with about an hour of air. The palate shows blackberry, blueberry, black currant, and a bit of spice. Medium tannins and acid. This bottle is showing better than the bottle I had last year. Again I'll say I enjoy the Havens labeled as such more, but this is certainly decent for the price.
May 15, 2012 - Great right out of the bottle, it falls apart quickly and becomes uninteresting and over-alcoholic. The first 20 minutes, though, are rich ones: lots of spice, cocoa, and dirt. That said, won't repurchase.
