Community Tasting Notes 4

January 10, 2015 - Once decanted, wine showed lots of licorice, earthy, cedar notes. Expected more fruit but was still decent

June 12, 2013 - This wine is showing much better now than when I first tasted it at the Biltmore Estate in the spring of '10. Three years ago I considered this wine to be over-extracted and rough; with a near wall of tannins. Now this wine is smooth and well integrated with delicate high-notes, undertones of bright red fruit, and a firm lingering finish. Great dinner party wine; would pair well with most meats and medium to slightly sharp cheese.

February 10, 2013 - Rich fruit with earth and cedar, mild tannins. Solid 88.

January 25, 2011 - Better than I anticipated. Big tannins, dark color, wonderful nose.
