April 30, 2017 - Dark ruby colour. Spicy, a little dark fruits. Full body but higher alcohol (15%) is built-in very well. Longer cherrish aftertaste. Very good QPR.

Nose of cherries, plumbs and earth. Smooth clean palate. Drinking now.
October 27, 2016 - Really drinking quite well right now. The nose is a bit earthy with good dark cherries and some black raspberries. Also some char. On the palate, this is juicy. Some depth. A bit of complexity. Long finish. Really hitting its stride, but no hurry.
July 15, 2015 - A well known wine critic called it "a baby Chateauneuf du Pape" and that's a pretty darn good description. Soft and smooth, less fruit than herbs and spice, medium finish and drinking very well now. Nose and taste coincide. It can go a few more years, but why wait?
September 30, 2013 - Fairly big and ripe, with lots of oak. A decent drink, but in small quantities.
August 17, 2013 - This was nicer then I thought it would be. Decanted for about an hour. Tastes of dark fruit with a smooth mild finish. Well rounded.
May 4, 2013 - CT Texas V - North Dallas Forty and then some; 5/3/2013-5/5/2013 (McKinney, North Dallas, TX): #1 Medicinal nose, red raspberry, leather, definitely a Grenache blend from the South Rhone. On the palate, hints of game, red raspberry, leather, spice. Decent finish. Guessed recent vintage Gigondas
April 10, 2013 - This deep-to-opaque ruby wine was Vinturi-decanted and serially tasted over the ensuing 2-3 hours. After approximately one hour in decanter, it opens its doors to show nice aromas of red currants, anise, fig and roasted herbs. The wine is fresh and medium-bodied on the palate, with relatively light tannins and well-integrated alcohol (despite being listed as 15%). The flavors mirror the nose and the mouth texture is very supple. A solid middle leads to a medium-length, very supple finish. At this point, this is a Côtes du Rhône which is at its apogee. Drink now-2014.
March 30, 2013 - Delicious. Thick, dense black liqourice in a glass. Fantastic value.
February 16, 2013 - Good but not spectacular (enjoyed more last time). Seemed a little one dimensional.
