February 10, 2022 - Everybody Likes a Good Pair... Matched 2009 and 2010 Red Burgundy (House of Nanda - Chicago IL): I served these double blind in 09/10 tasting, so they were single blind to me. Very nicely spiced with bright red fruit. Wonderfully fresh with very good+ weight and length for Village wine. Clearly the star of the flight, many thought this 2010 because of its grace and balance, but I was confident it was the Anne Gros, so 2009.

February 10, 2022 - Blind in an 09/10 tasting. I was convinced this was a 2010 and a Vosne 1er as it had excellent weight, purity and a seamlessness that 2010s almost always show. Such a great value and the warmer year apparently favors this terroir. In a peak window that should hold for 5-10+ years.

May 15, 2021 - Vosne + Flannery (Chicago): With a double decant this is really rocking. Plenty of Vosne spice adds complexity to rich, ripe and reasonably powerful fruit in the context of a Village wine. Shows 1er cru quality and depth. In a peak zone that should hold for a decade.

October 12, 2019 - Really nice nose here of black cherry, tea and spice. The palate shows good sweetness and richness with bright spice that liven up the palate. Really drinking well right now. I guessed 2010 Vosne.

October 12, 2019 - Another Saturday at Chevalier...Mostly Blind Burgundy (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Small glass, tasted blind alongside the 1996. Bright and ripe red fruit with baking spice. Very good balance despite the ripeness, good weight. So good now. Great Villages.
