March 10, 2024 - Winefield's pre-sale tasting: A nearly 15 years old Côte de Nuits with a lively colour, fresh fruit, a bit modest citrus in the midtaste, nice bitters in an elegant afertaste.

December 17, 2020 - Light to medium crimson with bright cherry red rim - youthful colour for its 11 year age.
Penetrating bouquet of fresh morello cherries, pastry, cherry pie, ripeness of fruit from the 2009 vintage.
An attractive wine with a succulent, fleshy palate packed with cherries, both black and red, and underpinned by sprightly acidity that weaves through the ripe fruit and keeps the wine upright.
Well structured with sweet tannins, good length and good concentration of fruits.
The wine shows remarkably young on the palate. The finish shows more sinewy textures with a firmer cherry stone note. It is very much a cherry infusion, and whilst it isn't that complex, it has a vibrancy and clarity that I thoroughly enjoy - more so because of its age. Certainly showed better than last year.

October 16, 2019 - Mid- orange crimson in colour. Aromas of forest floor, black plum with a freshness suggesting rhubarb and black raspberry. The palate immediately shows a fresh pulsating acidity that gives energy to the wine, initially a red plum skin texture, structurally quite a muscular style with a light yet surprisingly grippy tannins especially as the wine is 10 years old. Fruit is pencil shavings, dried cranberry fruit, pomegranate pith.
Notably fresh wine with a persistent length, clearly plenty of material although the tannins do show a brusque edge despite an aged feeling of perceived sweetness.

May 16, 2015 - Drank for dinner with Boeuf Bourguignon. Expressive and open nose of dark cherry liquor, blueberries, sweet spices (vanilla, cinammon) and some menthol. On the palate there are beautiful notes of dark berries again, menthol and some spices.. it's medium+ bodied with medium+ acidity and medium tannin that is super ripe. Good length. Maybe not super complex but this is just such a delicious, juicy Burgundy full of character. And year after year one of the best values in red Burgundy.

February 25, 2015 - Very good wine. No formal notes unfortunately but this had weight and the fruit purity I expected. I was worried about the reviews describing this producer as very oaky but I didn't feel it was the case here.

February 23, 2014 - 2/23/2014 Bright red to rim. Strawberries and cherries on the nose with some floral and earthy hints. Medium body, takes some time to develop but after an hour or two the fruits follow the nose, nice acidity and balance and yes there is some oak there but it's a relative thing and if you are not a fan of oak you might not like this. No real complexity. Less tannins than the bottle opened two years ago, which I liked more than this one. Holding its own but not likely to improve much, drink up in next few years. Very good-excellent.

July 6, 2013 - Dark red core. Fresh bright cherry and strawberry with pretty obvious oak on the nose. Sour cherry, hint of leafy greens, medium body, oak and tannins on the palate, medium finish, excellent but oaky.

January 1, 2013 - Dark red, no lightening at rim. Cherry, strawberry, hints of leafy fresh greens (in a good way), no noticeable oak on the nose. Medium body, good balance, good depth of fruit, moderate tannins give a sense of oak which i suspect will integrate over the next few years, medium finish, excellent.
