November 11, 2023 - My first glass of this wine, after I opened it last night and over the course of the following hour, left me discouraged by its veil of impenetrable, drying tannins. Different story today: the tannins have resolved into the very fine, grainy tannins typical of mature 1er PV, complemented by delightfully pure fruit flavors. Not complex, but terrific sincerity and brings a smile to the face. Yay Pavelot.

March 25, 2022 - This seemed at the front end of being ready to drink, with a healthy pre-airing. Got a cold after opening, so, sadly, no observations on its development after the first day open.

August 28, 2021 - Showing far more secondary character than bottle from February 2020. Superb bottle given what it cost upon release.

November 28, 2020 - Labeled as 13% abv. I had this with leftover ham and turkey slices from Thanksgiving and with a baked potato. Purple color, lighter around the rim. The nose and palate tend to dark fruits. It was a decent pairing with the ham but not a great match for a sharp Cheddar. My score for the wine would be in the upper 80s.
