I think this needs lot's of time to come together. A bit of different 09 - expected something more open. Not even close to being ready to drink.

  March 20, 2013 - Popped and poured. There was a little funk that blew off at first. Floral and red cherry at first. It changed in the glass and in the bottle over the next two hours, incorporating more cranberry and tartness through the entier palate. It did not have as much earth undertones as I thought. Perhaps it is entering a weird phase right now. I will wait another couple years to pop another.

  November 16, 2012 - Young Burgundies (Browntrout - Chicago, IL): Aromas were spicy and dark with some nice florals too. Palate was denser than the 2010 Pavelot and had more ripe cherry. There was also some earthy, forestal tones that I really enjoyed.
