May 24, 2023 - Last bottle is best. Wonderfully developed at this point.

January 21, 2023 - Friday Night - family dinner with home-made-ish chips and bargain steak: Somewhat advanced colour, bricking round the rim of the glass. On the nose, hints of forest floor. On the palate, lovely and savoury, much more giving than I expected - still some vibrancy and fruit, very much in contrast to what I expected from the colour. Drink 'em if you got 'em - this is great.

Revisited on night two, perhaps even better. Even tasted alongside the 05 Du Tertre was poised but not thin by any means.

July 22, 2022 - This wine is open and delicious now, with texture, depth, and sumptuous pinot fruit. A good regional Burgundy is as good in its way as a good 1er is in its. One of the best Volnays I've tasted was a Lafarge Bourgogne at age 12 so.

Wish I had my other 6 bottles back. Wish I'd thought to stock up on well-made Bourgognes when they were less than $25 a bottle. Happy to have this bottle to enjoy now.

December 13, 2020 - I'm not sure why I opened this bottle just 16 months after my 2019 note. Some development showed, a suggestion of fruit at the bottom of a deep sea of tannins. After day one, pretty decent imbibed cool from the fridge with food, as you would drink a young Beaujolais. Used the last glass for cooking. One more bottle and I'll try to leave it for three more years or so, for research purposes.
