February 8, 2019 - Wine Friday at work. Didn't wow me as much as the last time, but still a seductive beauty, with plenty of punch left in the velvet glove. Stolpman remains one of the great producers of the region. They put Ballard Canyon on the map! Literally!

February 23, 2017 - Just gets better, the longer it rests in the bottle. Still a stunner after all these years, but balanced and forthright. Aromas of bacon and roasted meat and a powerful but supple feel on the palette.

January 28, 2017 - P&P through an elk head aerator. Yeah, it's pretty cool. Super spicy wine! So much baking spices on the nose, along with some wood and deep black fruits. Blackberry, black raspberry, black plum. Pretty intense stuff. Drink now - 2020.
