December 7, 2019 - Cherry-forward fruit with loam, beef broth and some woodsy notes. Very different from and not seeming as ready as the last bottle 18 months ago.

August 27, 2019 - so smooth we drank the whole bottle without realizing it. Fine fine tannins, spices, herbs, good acidity and a great finish. excellent QPR.

January 26, 2019 - Surprise of the night. In a blind taste we thought it was an Hermitage. Tannins are smooth, beautiful nose of dark fruits and leather, wonderful taste that keeps going. May still improve in 2-3 years but drinking beautifully now. Drink or hold.

October 15, 2018 - should be drinking now, seem a bit on the downward already as dominated by spices and earth, very classic but seem littel fruit left. Tannins very soft.

  • Neecies Likes this wine:

July 30, 2018 - Rich, bright and peppery with bing cherry, fennel, bacon and garrique. Beautifully middle-aged, and no sediment yet.

(CORNAS Jaboulet P & V) Cornas Dear Friends, This will be brief due to limited supply... On the heels of the Jaboulet Crozes offer last month, they’ve offered a token of appreciation – their 2006 Cornas at half price. From an excellent Northern Rhone vintage, I know nothing about this wine but it looks to be a terrific deal on a genre that is always in heavy demand. Cornas is typically the epicenter of carnal, terroir-infused Syrah and while I'm not sure if this will make you forget your allegiance to Clape or Verset, Josh R’s review below is certainly enticing. This is Philippe & Vincent’s top Cornas – they are not making a single vineyard (all of their best old-vine fruit is in this wine): T FIRST COME FIRST SERVED at this tariff up to 12/person until we run out... 2006 Domaine Philippe & Vincent Jaboulet Cornas - (compare at in the US, in Europe) To order: This is not a long-term pre-arrival - it is set to arrive in a few weeks (please check OARS for local pick-up after June 1st). The Cornas will ship during the Fall shipping season - I would give it another year or two in the cellar before opening. Out of state orders will be held for free under ideal storage conditions (56 degrees/70%humidity) until shipping is possible. Locals may pick up at their leisure. For current local pick up and arrival/ship information, please see your OARS link below (at the bottom of this offer) - don’t know how to access your OARS? Simply click the link and see your account. If you are having trouble with your link or your account, please contact: NO SALES TO RETAILERS OR WHOLESALERS Thank you, Jon Rimmerman Garagiste Seattle, WA Rhone7230
