October 3, 2021 - Had this along with several Spring Mountain Winery Cabs during the evening dinner event and very enjoyable - but not sure it measured up to our SM wines.

October 3, 2021 - Decanted 2 hours including aieraid before drinking
    Enjoyable with a nice steak

Nose is fading full fruit smell, but drinks very smooth and not much acidity . Finish was mid level

Plan to drink the last 3 bottles by end next year 2022 or latest 2023

September 4, 2021 - Has a moldy cheese smell. Total funk upon opening. It mellows a little after sitting for 20-30 minutes. But it’s past its prime. A little flat. Just not for us.

August 22, 2021 - Starting to loose the fruit balance so we plan to drink the last 4 bottles within this year

Decanted 1 1/2 hours and airated the decanter and then again into the glass

August 14, 2021 - Ruby color. Earthy nose with notes of mint and cedar. Intense cherry and blueberry fruit with ample cigar and cedar. Fairly soft with good balance of fruit and tannin. The finish lingering and evolving. This is very nice--probably a bit past peak, but only a little. Perhaps SO is overrated, but this is a nice bottle of wine and no complaints here.

April 22, 2021 - I always thought Silver Oak was a tad overrated and last night didn't change my opinion only enforced. Decanted properly stored 2007 last night and 1st thought was oh my the funk on the nose LOL. It soon shall pass but an eye opener to say the least. Definitely past its prime as the dark ruby colors expected were almost starting to be come translucent. Some moderate dark berries and oak followed by very mellow tannins did nothing nothing to make this any better. Would have liked it about a year or two ago. Good but for sure just a little past its prime. Drink now.
