July 23, 2014 - $13. Brick red / brownish violet appearance. Aroma is spicy with some black pepper, moderately tannic (some leather), black cherries, tomatoes, and black raspberries. Medium bodied. Slight olive / tomato flavor which isn't necessarily unpleasant. Some tobacco, woody / stem herbal, herbaceous notes. Dry with light fruit. Fine table wine or paired with pasta dinner. Nothing special.
