November 27, 2023 - Thanksgiving dinner with D&E, R&J, D&J, not nearly as good as the Gevry Chambertin earlier but drinkable.

December 27, 2022 - Deeply colored; classic deep rich Burgundian nose, dark cherry, rich soil, some blood iron, just an attractive smidge of rusticity matches the rich mouth-coating texture. Girardin, like Jadot, made a great lineup of ‘03s!! 92+

March 16, 2019 - Dark ruby color with some pleasant notes of dry brush in the bouquet. Ripe red and dark fruit, still fairly fresh, some minerals and earth and plenty of acidity, but a bit of firmness in finish. No signs of fading and probably still some room to improve.

August 13, 2018 - Much better than past bottles. Rich fruit but with decent balance and length. Good wine to drink soon. (90)

March 13, 2018 - Very deep and saturated garnet color. Big berry, cola and coffee on the nose - is this RRV Pinot? Big, ripe fruit palate. Heavy for Burgundy but not as heavy as some new world versions of this grape. Good wine? Sure. Good Burgundy? Not for me. Think the vintage and wine making was too much. (88) based on what’s in the glass, not how much I like it.
