August 20, 2022 - Pale terracotta initially but seemed to darken considerably with air.
Multifaceted, dimensional nose, cacophonous nuances of all sorts of floral scents, complex spices, strawberries, coniferous heathland, feminine and beguiling.
The palate is concentrated but weightless, essentially structurally resolved, feminine red fruited sweetness, spice and limestone mineralite. Not overly complex but aristocratically refined, the embodiment of pinosity and incredibly hedonistic. Sadly my last bottle.

October 1, 2019 - Intense cherry, mineral, and spice nose; lots of elegance paired with weight. On this particular day, I rated it as highly as the Suchots - but there's no doubt that this is far more open now than the Suchots. Are they really qualitative equals? Difficult to say where they will be in 5 years, but this is certainly doing very well for itself today. Lots of life ahead - I shouldn't think this would reach its absolute apogee for several years yet.

August 6, 2019 - Fourth bottle since release. Typical Clos Chateau nose with green strawberries, herbs (Rayas), and extremely sweetsour berries. I wonder if it is the wild yeast in this Clos. It is SO outsooken in all vintages of Clos. Much more than other terroires from this domaine. The palate is wonderful as always. Very balanced with sweet fruit and an underlying nerve of acidity which keeps the fruit in check. I am looking forward to the Reignot and Echezeaux once they mature...

February 15, 2018 - Drunk over two nights. Aristocratic and drop dead gorgeous, this is young but accessible, considerably more open and deep in night two. A nose of complex exotic scents and perfumes. Sappy red fruits on the palate, complex spice including sandalwood, intensely mineral, tannins very fine and barely noticeable, no discernible oak, high acidity, mouth coating dry extract and very persistent, but the best undoubtably many years in the future. Just so delicious.
