Community Tasting Notes 5

December 11, 2020 - This was really nice tonight after about 2 hours of air with lots of rich, penetrating dark red fruit, earthy, slightly brambly sous bois notes and a mid length finish. I suspect this has a long life ahead of it.

April 12, 2019 - This was quite nice tonight with lots of mineral driven dark fruit, earthy, spicy notes, subtle sanguine undertones and slightly chalky tannins on the longish finish. Medium bodied And drinking well with an hour or so of air.p

June 11, 2016 - Opened not decanted for about 3 hours and this displayed penetrating dark fruit, earth, some Asian spice and quite abit of sauvage notes. All in all, quite nice and while drinking well, this is still on the youngish side.

May 7, 2016 - Chevalier Fine Wines Tasting, Featuring Fine Vines Selections (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Black berries and spice aromas and flavors. Moderate depth, good balance. Good now.

May 7, 2016 - Rite of Spring at Chevalier Wines (Chicago, IL): The nose here is very nicely perfumed, and there's a moderate touch of earth to both the nose and palate as well. This shows a bit of sweet fruit, and is really expressive at the moment. The tannins are a bit tight still.
