April 13, 2024 - Nice, balanced, a bit of complexity. About right for a $40 wine. Good pairing with sautéed sea scallops. Feels like this would put on more depth with cellar time.
December 1, 2023 - Crisp, grassy notes
Lemon/grapefruit
Chalky
Smooth
Will seek out more.
September 1, 2023 - Wonderful in so many ways. Drank over two nights. Crisp and fresh with balanced acidity. Wonderful brioche notes on the nose. Not long, not much in the way of effervescence, but this is the kind of wine you can drink and it will continue to put a smile on your face with every sip.
February 27, 2023 - Nice balance of verve, brightness and richness. Smoky, acid and mineral. Good value!
July 20, 2022 - Good acidity. Decent QPR. Meant to open something cheaper. Nothing crazy memorable here
January 16, 2022 - Bright apple throughout with some lemon curd and toasted baguette. Good volume, good length, finishing clean and bright, showing some faint sweet and tart notes. Very good value from Garagiste.
December 5, 2021 - Refined deliciousness, buttered baguette with meyer lemon zest.
July 30, 2021 - This bottle is dated 18 Jul, 2019, which I once again assume is the disgorgement date. On the nose: very gourmand with loads of brioche some autolytic notes, coppery lemon. On the palate: very good acidity and richness inflected with grapefruit and lemon. Yum.
July 18, 2021 - Very charming and convincing Blanc de Blancs champagne. Nice mousse with considerable amount of citrus fruit on the nose. Bought a case of 6 bottles for 18 euros each in a small shop in Lyon after having tried a sample bottle the day before. Reliable, tasty and worth every cent! Should have bought more.
June 7, 2021 - Surprisingly more oxidative quality than expected, nice bit of toasted brioche on the nose. Full palate ranging from tart apple skin with lemon, grapefruit zest, to nice minerality with hints of smoke and roasted nuts.
